An accident report from Woodland, Washington, named a teenager as the victim of a head-on collision on Thursday, April 9th. 14-year-old Christian D. Pickens was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
The near-fatal accident occurred on Highway 503. The preliminary investigation by the Washington State Patrol uncovered that at about 4:16 p.m., a 1992 GMC Jimmy crossed the centerline of the highway near McCracken Road.

The driver of the vehicle, Aaron K. Pierce, 32, of Portland, then crashed into a Ford F-250 pickup truck heading south. The driver of the car was identified as Neil C. Brinson, 47, of Woodland.
Christian was a passenger in the GMC, and he and a 35-year-old woman sustained injuries. The medics transported the two to an area hospital for treatment, and their condition is unknown at the time of this report.
Pierce appeared more critical, and an air ambulance conveyed him to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver. Brinson was the only uninjured person from the accident. The WSP is heading the investigation into the crash.
