This accident was a result of a Honda Civic going South on Riverside Drive. The 56-year-old driver of this vehicle was attempting to make a left-hand turn trying to get onto I-75 South. He collided with the motorcycle that Money was operating.
The driver received minor injuries as a result of the crash.
Rear ends are not a rare type of auto accident in Georgia. Some common causes are vehicles traveling too close. Or another is distracted drivers. In most cases the vehicle causing the rear end collision will be at fault. There are laws in place for most stats concerning keeping a safe distance and having control of the vehicle at all times. These types of accidents can be even more dangerous when a tractor-trailer is involved. It is much more difficult for these vehicles to be able to stop quickly. Drivers of these vehicles are aware of this and must keep a safe distance from the vehicles in front of them.
