An update to an accident report from Oakland, California, revealed that the authorities confirmed the identity of the woman that died in a two-vehicle collision. The coroner on Tuesday, April 28th, released the victim’s name as Waynette Hunter, 29.
The woman passed away from the injuries she sustained in the Sunday, April 26th, accident. The authorities said that the crash the woman was involved in took place at about 3:36 a.m. in East Oakland. It happened precisely at the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard and 98th Avenue.

The police said that Hunter was a passenger in a Honda Civic heading east on MacArthur. At the same time, a Nissan Quest minivan was going west on the same roadway. As the vehicle tried to make a left turn onto the southbound 98th Avenue, the first car struck it.
Hunter sustained severe wounds that she died from at the scene, while the driver of the Honda, identified as a 25-year-old woman, survived with severe injuries. The medics took the latter to the hospital, where she remains in critical but stable condition.
The Nissan driver, identified as a 20-year-old Oakland resident, also sustained injuries, and the medics took the person to the hospital in stable condition. The accident report also showed that no other vehicle or persons were involved in the crash.
