Preliminary investigations revealed the incident began when a vehicle on Highway 33 attempted a turn onto the adjacent street. The Subaru was reportedly traveling through the north traffic lanes of the highway before the encounter, with a 65-year-old man behind the wheels.
Before the car completed the turn, however, a Honda CBR1000 motorcycle southbound on the highway came along and collided with it. The motorcyclist ended up lying on the roadway after the motorbike ejected him. Paramedics arrived at the location not long after and pronounced the rider dead from his injuries.
The 65-year-old motorist and his sole passenger, who was a 66-year-old female sustained injuries termed minor. The medical crew offered them transportation to an area hospital for treatment.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the deadly wreck. An investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
A motorcycle accident attorney can conduct an independent probe to ascertain the cause and liability of the mishap, after which the victim’s family may try to recover damages.
