The city officials said the coroner and the sheriff’s office worked together to secure the scene, and an investigation is ongoing. The police and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the cause of the crash and will release an update later.
Aviation accidents are not as common as motor vehicle crashes, but they are more fatal than it and other forms of accidents. Accident reports show that several factors contribute to plane crashes, and they are mostly the results of negligence.
The most common cause is the pilot’s error, and it amounts to half of all the plane crashes. Another is the manufacturer’s defect, which is quite dangerous as a failure in any aircraft system can lead to an accident. Others are weather problems, mostly fog, rainstorms, or snow, air traffic controller errors, and other unforeseen circumstances during takeoff or flight.
