A Vancouver pedestrian was tragically and seriously injured in a DUI auto-pedestrian collision that occurred near East Mill Plain Boulevard on Wednesday.

Law enforcement in Vancouver stated that at approximately 5:36 p.m. local time, the victim was struck in the area of East Mill Plain Boulevard by a 1994 Suburban Utility Vehicle (SUV) driven by 48-year-old Jack Hamner. The motorist was reportedly under the influence of alcohol and was driving over the speed limit at the time of the incident.
Medics and first responders promptly took the victim to a local area medical center where she is being administered care for severe injuries, authorities verified.
