Kennewick law enforcement officials reported that at approximately 11:30 a.m. local time, the victim’s vehicle was hit by 30-year-old Spencer Hughes, who reportedly failed to yield the right-of-way to the Ms. Martin. The accident occurred at the intersection of West 24th Avenue and South Union Street in Kennewick.

Medics promptly arrived at the scene and took Ms. Martin to a local hospital where she is receiving treatment for severe injuries, local officers added.

ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

Kennewick law enforcement personnel are digging deeper into the details of the accident and will attempt to discover what really caused the unfortunate incident.

Law enforcement will issue an official police report once the investigation is completed, and Hughes, who reportedly didn’t yield the right-of-way to Ms. Martin, might be charged.
