While attempting to cross Highway 99 on Friday, Deandre Whitaker, 14, a Lynwood resident, was struck and killed. Lynwood Law enforcement claimed he was hit by a Ford F-150 pickup traveling northbound in the vicinity of 200th Street SW at approximately 7 PM local time.

Witnesses reported that the pickup truck had a green light and the right of way.
The three people riding in the pickup, a man, woman and child, did not get hurt in the incident.
