DEADLY TRACTOR-TRAILER ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION
Liability on behalf of the truck driver seems to be quite clear in this instance and the Washington State Patrol will attempt to discover what made him swerve, hit and kill Ms. Acosta.
Different factors can lead to a tractor-trailer accident, such as loss of control of the vehicle, a tire blowout, a vehicle failure, speeding, uneven lanes, inappropriate truck maneuvering and driver fatigue. Based on data from a recent study, approximately one out of three commercial truck drivers have mild to severe sleep apnea, which affects their alertness and performance while operating their vehicles on the roadways.
