FRESNO, CA – Authorities have identified the victim of a previously reported fatal motorcycle vs. truck collision in central Fresno on Tuesday evening.
According to ABC 30, the collision occurred at about 6 p.m. near the intersection of North Cedar Avenue and Ashlan Avenue.

The motorcyclist was heading westbound on Ashlan Ave when he was stuck by a truck attempting to turn into a parking lot. He was then transported to a hospital, where he passed away.
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 34-year-old Ricardo Simpson of Fresno.
Officials say the truck driver has been cooperating through the investigation.
Drugs and alcohol are not believed to have contributed to the collision.
