Accidents involving trailer truck drivers are not uncommon in Washington and other parts of the United States. Because of the build of the vehicle, a rollover accident often ends fatally for the driver of the trailer, and those who survive have minor, moderate, or severe injuries.
Truck drivers should always have their seatbelts on as studies show that 1 in 6 truck motorists do not wear their belts. Also, accident reports show that more than 40% of crash-related deaths occur every year from not wearing a seatbelt. Additionally, truckers should avoid all forms of distractions and focus on the roadway they are traveling on.
