Before the collision, the deceased was heading north on Plainfield, and the car was heading south. The investigators said that the 25-year-old Grand Rapids woman driving the automobile made a left turn onto Fuller directly in front of Potter, causing the crash.
The police said that the speed the deceased was traveling might have contributed to the accident, and it affected the collision’s impact. The teenager sustained extensive injuries and passed away at the scene. The female driver was not injured.
The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. The latter believe drugs or (and) alcohol did not play a role in the accident, but they are waiting for the toxicology result to confirm. The investigators explained that the test is a standard procedure when there’s a death.
