It occurred precisely south of Wilshire Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP said that a 2000 Nissan Quest was traveling in the No 4 lane when the driver made an unsafe turn into the fifth lane.

Lane No 5 had a 2006 Hyundai Azera, a 2009 Nissan Versa, and a 2012 Ford Edge traveling on it. The Quest then lost control and crashed into the right concrete wall. The crash caused the Ford to collide with the Hyundai.

The collision led to a chain reaction that involved two other vehicles. Navarro was riding in the Ford Edge, driven by an unnamed 18-year-old male. An unidentified 18-year-old female was also in the car.

Navarro was severely injured, and he died without making it to the hospital. The other occupants of the Ford sustained injuries but survived. The driver of the Quest was identified as a 59-year-old male who suffered minor injuries.

The accident report also showed that the crash is under investigation to determine liability and take the necessary legal actions.

Seeing the lives of teenagers taken when they are just beginning to live their lives is a hard pill to swallow. Freeway accidents, especially at the speeds driven, are a scary situation to be in. Hopefully, the police find out all the details of the accident. Will there be any updates to this story after the investigation concludes?
