No other injury or death was reported from the accident, and the CHP is still looking to find the primary cause of the crash.
Accidents aren’t uncommon, and they occur quite often in California and the United States of America. Different factors cause car accidents, and top of the list is distracted driving.
The latter occurs when a driver, rather than face the road, is texting, making a phone call, or conversing with passengers. Statistics have shown that it takes only three seconds for a distracted driver to crash, and texting increases the chances of accidents by 23 times.
Another cause of accidents is over speeding, with about 50 percent of fatal crashes occurring when the drivers do not have their seat belt on. Over speeding is also an offshoot of alcohol or drugs impaired driving, and recklessness of drivers.
Motorists are advised to avoid every factor that leads to an accident, by following the laid down traffic laws, and showing due care while on the roadway.
