Authorities were called to the scene at Massachusetts 93 about 7 a.m. Sunday after a person reported a vehicle that had left the roadway near a Dorchester exit. Lambright reportedly was found unconscious, laying near his vehicle and suffering significant wounds.
Emergency Medical Services personnel from Boston were called to the scene to aid Lambright. However, he ultimately was pronounced dead from his injuries.
The preliminary investigation suggests Lambright, who was driving south, lost control of his vehicle and crashed through a guardrail, according to a press release. Police said the reason for the crash remains under investigation.
The release stated that Lambright was found outside his vehicle. However, the release didn’t’ say whether he was ejected as a result of the crash or left for other reasons.
Police in the press release wrote that “the exact cause and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police, along with the Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section and the Crime Scene Services Section.”
