Bishop at about 6 p.m. Friday was driving north on Center Road when she lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a curve, according to car accident reports. The vehicle went off the roadway and crashed, authorities said.
According to a press release, first responders determined that Collier “was not breathing and (had) sustained significant head trauma.”
“Responding medics were unable to revive the victim, who succumbed to his injuries on scene,” deputies wrote in the release.

Bishop was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
Witnesses spoke to investigators, providing an account of the moments just prior to the wreck.
“Deputies interviewed witnesses who described seeing (Bishop’s) vehicle having passed them near the (Washington) 104 and Center Road interchange at an extremely high rate of speed,” the press release stated.
A stretch of Center Road was closed for about four hours while authorities worked at the scene. Car accident reports state the incident still is under investigation.
