A hit-and-run accident on the night of April 17 has left a one-year-old girl dead, and her father injured. In a report coming out of Houston, Texas, the car accident occurred close to 11 p.m. on the 4700 block of Aldine Mail Route Road.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office later released that Marvin Buck had been driving a Nissan passenger vehicle west on Aldine Mail Route Road at the time of the accident. A red Toyota Tacoma was driving in the opposite direction when the driver lost control. The truck then hit a curb before hitting the Nissan head-on.

The police have apprehended the driver of the truck, who fled the scene after the accident. The driver, Sergio Milla Iglesias, is believed to have had a passenger at the time of the accident based on evidence gathered at the scene. There have been no other arrests at this time.
At the accident scene, police uncovered that Buck had restrained his one-year-old daughter in the front passenger seat using only a standard seatbelt. Emergency medical services transported Buck and the girl to a nearby hospital for their injuries.
Amiyah Buck later died of her injuries at the hospital. It is not clear if police have issued any citations or charges for the lack of child restraint.
There is no indication at this time if Buck has acquired the assistance of a car accident attorney for this accident. The investigation is currently ongoing.
