Investigators said Flowers at about 1 p.m. Thursday was driving his motorcycle when he collided with another vehicle near the intersection of South Graham and Spencer roads. Details about the events leading up to the crash weren’t made clear in car accident reports available as of Friday evening.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, transporting Flowers to an area hospital, authorities reported. However, Flowers ultimately was declared dead as a result of the collision, deputies said.
The 80-year-old driver of the vehicle, a woman from Chesaning, and her passenger, an 83-year-old woman, reported injuries in connection to the crash. Both were transported to an area hospital for treatment, according to authorities.
Neither woman was identified in car accident reports. The Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the incident.
Details released such far does not clearly state whether investigators have attributed fault to either driver. Nor have investigators said whether factors like speed, adverse road conditions or inattentive driving are thought to have contributed to the crash.
Witnesses to the collision offered conflicting reports of what occurred, according to authorities.
