A driver has been arrested more than two months after a rollover crash that claimed the life of a six-year-old old.
According to accident reports, 36-year-old Shalonna Marie Wadley was booked on May 11 and charged with multiple offenses including homicide by vehicle.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said she was involved in a February 27 crash in which
LaBarron Wright died.
The accident occurred in the 1000 block of Horseshoe Road off Mike Padgett Highway after 6 p.m.
Nine other people were in Wadley’s vehicle and several of them suffered injuries.
According to the Richmond County Coroner’s Office, Wadley was driving west on Horseshoe Road. For some reason, she was unable to control the vehicle and it rolled multiple times before striking a tree.
Wright was thrown from the vehicle in the process. Based on the charges Wadley in the facing, the boy may not have been wearing a seatbelt.
He was taken to Augusta University Medical Center but medical personnel were not able to save his life. He died the night of the accident.
The authorities have not said how Wadley and Wright are related or who the other occupants of the vehicle were.
In addition to the homicide charge, accident reports say Wadley is accused of
- Driving under the influence
- Driving too fast for road conditions
- Driving recklessly
- Driving with a suspended or revoked license
- Seatbelt violations
- Failure to maintain lane
- Operating an unregistered vehicle
- Second offense no safety child restraint (three counts)
- DUI with a passenger under 14 years old (four counts)
- Not having insurance coverage
