The police said that Allen was standing in front of the store when a ’98 Toyota Camry traveling east on San Pablo Dam Road struck him. An eyewitness told the investigators that the deceased was trying to retrieve his property after someone threw it onto the roadway.
Allen sustained severe wounds, and the medics took him to an undisclosed hospital where he remained until his death. The driver of the Camry, identified as a 57-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The police said that the area where the accident occurred was not marked and too dark. The accident remains under investigation, and there’s no additional information at this time.
