Police, on April 22, rearrested a 35-year-old man, Roben Gaby Noujaim, for his connection with a traffic collision that occurred in September last year. The suspect will require a car accident lawyer after the crash led to the death of a 72-year-old pedestrian in Moreno Valley, California.
Noujaim was previously arrested after he was suspected of driving under the influence following the crash on September 10, 2019. The collision occurred at 7:45 p.m. on that fateful day at the intersection of Graham Street and Old Valley Road, killing the pedestrian, Lorenzo Romero.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department investigated the accident and submitted its report to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office. In the report, the department recommended that the suspect be charged with vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, infliction of great bodily harm while committing a felony, and driving under the influence of drugs while causing injury.
With that, a warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest. Noujaim was arrested on Wednesday and immediately taken into custody at the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station, according to County Jail logs. The suspect, who will be needing a car accident lawyer, is being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.
Driving under the influence is very dangerous and is one of the leading causes of road accidents in California. Drivers should ensure that they are free from the influence of drugs or alcohol and mentally sane and stable before driving. If this is adhered to, the rate of accidents in the state would be greatly reduced.
