The services of a car injury attorney might be needed following the identification of a car accident victim in Williamson County, Texas. The Department of Public Safety released the name of the victim on Wednesday, April 15th, as Rebecca King, 34.

The DPS said that the Harker Heights woman died in an accident that occurred on Saturday, April 11th. King was run over by a pickup truck she was traveling in as a passenger at about 2 p.m. on Williamson County Road 221.

Sgt. Deon Cockrell said that the deceased was in a Ford F-150 pickup when she opened the car for unknown reasons and stepped out while it was still in motion. The vehicle then ran over King and she sustained extensive injuries.

The medics at the scene pronounced the woman dead. The investigation into the tragic accident is ongoing, and the authorities are piecing together the facts to make clear all the unknowns. There is currently no information on the driver of the truck.

Runover accidents leave the victim with traumatic injuries and often end in fatalities. Those who survive have life-altering injuries that affect the quality of life they live. When a pedestrian is not at fault in a runover crash, he or she can bring a personal injury lawsuit against the driver of the vehicle involved.

The victim would ask the court for compensation ranging from the loss suffered to medical bills accrued during treatment. The victim and the offender would need to hire a car injury attorney for legal advice and representation.
