A man, who is facing felony charges for assaulting a pedestrian with his vehicle in Chicago, Illinois, would have to hire a car accident attorney. The Chicago Police Department brought charges against Aamir Mohammed, 30, on Monday, May 18th.
The reports by the police — obtained from a 40 seconds video clip — showed that the suspect struck a woman with his Toyota Prius outside a restaurant called Ms. T’s Southern Fried Chicken. The incident occurred on Friday, May 15th.

The clip showed that Mohammed came for a food pickup at the restaurant. The owner of the establishment, Nita Tanner, said he arrived early, and the food wasn’t ready. She asked the suspect to stay outside due to social distancing, but he became angry and kicked the restaurant’s door, damaging it.
The man went outside, sat in his car, and drove it into one of the two women standing along a curb blocking the Prius from traffic. The unnamed 24-year-old victim, identified as Tanner’s daughter, sustained injuries to her shoulders, pelvis, and arm. She is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of an undisclosed hospital.
Mohammed left the scene after the accident but later turned himself into the police on Saturday, May 16th. Further investigations showed that the suspect was representing Grubhub, who has since denounced him as one of their workers.
The man was using another driver’s account, amounting to fraudulent misuse of Grubhub’s platform. He is facing charges of aggravated battery, failure to report an accident with injuries, and driving without a license, hence the need for a car accident attorney’s services.
