Recent accident reports released by the Stockton Police Department confirmed the arrest of two people who led police in a car chase through Stockton, California, over the weekend. The occurrence, which resulted in a traffic wreck, causing injuries to one person, played out on the morning of Sunday, June 21.
The San Joaquin Sheriff’s Office revealed in a media release that the chase kicked off at precisely 10:50 a.m. Reports showed that an on-duty officer patrolling the area of Waterloo Road saw a Mercedes SUV sporting temporary license plates. The officer disclosed that the vehicle was stopped at the Days Inn parking lot and looked suspicious.

This prompted the lawman to run a registration check on the vehicle, which proved it to be a stolen car, reported in Tracy earlier. Before the officer could make further moves, a male and a female exited from the parked vehicle and began their retreat. They parted ways as the deputy made his way towards them, the accident reports indicated.
The officer was able to apprehend the male suspect, Tyler Huntley, 29, while the female fled the scene in the stolen vehicle. A second deputy responding at the scene spotted the female driving away and immediately followed in pursuit. The chase continued onto Waterloo Road and Highway 99, with the suspect driving recklessly against oncoming traffic.
For safety reasons, the lawman terminated the pursuit. Stockton police said Amy Wulbern continued traveling the wrong way until she caused a traffic collision further down the road. The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting this accident barely minutes later. Emergency responders found one person injured, and transported them to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Wulbern abandoned the stolen car and fled the accident scene, but officers caught up with her shortly after. They booked the suspect on suspicion of evading arrest, possession of a stolen vehicle, convicted felon in possession of illegal narcotics, and several traffic violations.
Huntley also faces charges of possession of narcotics, possession of a stolen vehicle, and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He remains at the San Joaquin County Jail in lieu of $560,000 bail.
