The teenager was driving a 2014 Fiat 500 northbound on the highway when she crossed the centerline into the southbound lane for unknown reasons. The act placed her directly in the path of a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Glasgow, and they collided head-on.
The collision’s impact left the women with fatal wounds, and Justice of Peace Susan Warner pronounced them dead. Troopers said that Marin and Glasgow were wearing seat belts when they collided, and the weather in the area where the speed limit is 65 miles per hour was clear and dry.
Trooper Joseph Bretchel led the preliminary investigation with the assistance of Troopers Jaron Yarborough, Matt Walts, and Dustin Henderson. The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office and Christoval Fire Department also assisted at the crash site. There is no additional information at this time, and it is unclear if the investigation is ongoing.
