On Wednesday, February 12, a woman sustained life-threatening injuries following a car accident in Phoenix. The woman who was injured in the accident was not in a car. She was standing by the entrance to the ramp to the Interstate 17 freeway when she was struck by a vehicle.

The accident took place at around 5:15 am near Dunlap Avenue. The driver of the vehicle that struck the woman did not flee the scene. Instead, the driver parked nearby and came back to speak law enforcement officers.

Currently, the exact cause of the accident is unknown. It is not clear whether the driver cause the accident or whether the pedestrian caused the accident. All that is known as that the driver of the vehicle was not injured at all and the pedestrian was severely injured.

At this time, it is not known whether or not the woman’s injuries will end up being fatal. Medical personnel are working tirelessly to try and save the woman and to get her in a stable condition. Pedestrian-vehicle accidents often result in extremely serious injuries, and this is another case of that happening.

There were a number of individuals who saw the accident. Police officers took their statements and this evidence will be used in the investigation. It could potentially be used in a court of law if a lawsuit or a prosecution results from this incident.

If you have any information about this accident, please feel free to get in touch with the Phoenix Police Department.
