A head-on collision occurred on US 93 near Wickenburg, Arizona on Sunday, February 9th. The crash occurred at around 3:15 PM on Sunday afternoon. Following the crash, the road was shut down in both directions. Traffic was rerouted.
During the shutdown, police carried out their investigations to try to identify the cause of the accident and so that they could collect any pertinent evidence. After the accident took place, and once the police had concluded their investigations, the debris was taken off of the road, and the road was reopened.

Three cars were involved in the accident. Several people were airlifted to a local hospital after sustaining very serious injuries in the crash.
Currently, the full extent of the injuries that people sustained in the accident is not known. It is also not known exactly how any people were airlifted to the hospital following the crash.
