Accident reports show that an auto-pedestrian collision is one of the leading types of accidents in Georgia and the United States. Traffic officials frequently provide safety tips for both drivers and pedestrians to adhere to preserve lives.
The pedestrian should ensure he or she is visible to the motorist when walking by wearing bright colors. He or she should stick to the sidewalk, stay off the phone, look before taking each step, and look left-right-left before crossing.
Drivers, on their part, should ensure they maintain the speed limit and avoid driving when under the influence. They should also ensure they give pedestrians the right of way, stop at crosswalks, and be cautious when backing up.
