SAN DIEGO, CA – A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car in the Egger Highlands neighborhood on Tuesday morning, reports Deasilex.
San Diego police said the collision occurred near the intersection of Coronado Avenue and Thermal Avenue at about 5:45 a.m.

According to a video from OnScene TV, the incident involved a dark-colored Volkswagen that sustained damage to its hood.
The pedestrian sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. OnScene stated that a 47-year-old woman was the victim.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with officers.
