An accident occurred in Abilene around 5:30 p.m. on March 11. There was a total of five people who were injured in this accident. So far, the only information that has been released is regarding two of the victims.
The Texas Department of Public Safety released a statement at 10 p.m. on Wednesday explaining as much as they could. They indicated that there were two vehicles involved in the accident.

The accident happened at the intersection of U.S. Highway 83 and Farm-to-Market Road 3034 in Jones County. A vehicle that was driving west on Farm-to-Market Road 3034 failed to stop at a stop sign and attempted crossing U.S. Highway 83 without stopping.
While crossing the road, the vehicle was struck on the passenger side by a vehicle driving south on U.S. Highway 83.
The information that was released about two of the victims did not identify which car they were in at the time of the accident.
A one-year-old boy was revived using CPR at the scene of the accident by paramedics. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the boy was flown to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth.
The boy is expected to survive the injuries that he sustained in the accident.
18-year-old Diego Hernandez was not as fortunate. The release did not indicate if Hernandez made it to the hospital or not, but just that he had died from his injuries.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is currently investigating this accident.
