PALM SPRINGS, CA – California Highway Patrol officials say a woman died in a single-vehicle crash on State Route 111 near Palm Springs on Tuesday morning.
According to My News LA, authorities were alerted of the accident just south of Overture Drive around 6:45 a.m.

The preliminary report stated the female driver of a southbound Ford Explorer lost control of the vehicle and careened off the roadway. The vehicle struck a cable fence and rolled over before landing upright.
CHP said the woman was not secured by a seat belt and suffered fatal injuries.
