LOS ANGELES, CA – One person is dead after a car crashed off a railroad bridge and into a Ballona Creek river bed on Monday.
According to CBS LA, the accident happened at the intersection of National Boulevard and West Jefferson Boulevard around 1:50 p.m.

Authorities say the car was heading westbound on W Jefferson Blvd when its driver lost control and failed turn the corner near the intersection. The vehicle careened off the roadway and onto an old railroad bridge before falling into the river bed.
The male driver, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is currently unknown if alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.
