FRESNO, CA – Crews with the Fresno Fire Department responded to a triplex apartment building fire that left one resident in the hospital on Sunday evening.
According to FOX 26, firefighters arrived at the building on West University Avenue, near North Fruit Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. They were met with flames billowing from the center unit.

A female resident of the unit suffered minor burns to her left arm and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Fire crews successfully contained the blaze to the center unit before putting it out.
Officials with the Fresno Fire Department say the apartment is currently uninhabitable after sustaining severe damage.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
