The Montague County officials on Wednesday April 29th, identified the victim of the fatal train crash at 511 Sunset, Texas, as a 49-year-old man, Garry Wise. According to accident reports, the deceased was crossing the Burlington track when the accident occurred.
The accident occurred on Saturday, April 25th. Officials from Montague County Sheriff’s Office said that the deceased was attempting to cross the Burlington Northern track, and hoped to beat the train. Unfortunately, his pickup was hit, causing him to be ejected.

Reports also said that the train was traveling at an estimated speed of 40miles per hour. Responding officers and medics were dispatched to the crash scene and they found the victim unresponsive.
Wise was pronounced dead at the scene. Reports also revealed that Wise was a resident of Spur 511 and that it wasn’t the first time that he would be crossing the track.
