She was booked into Bexar County Jail on Tuesday.
Police allege that Duval struck a teenaged motorcyclist on November 15, 2019, dragged him for 100 yards, and then fled.
The accident happened in the 11400 block of West Avenue.
Police say that before the motorcyclist was struck by Duval, he had crashed into the back of a Lexus SUV. He was ejected from the bike and he went into the path of the Duval’s Volkswagen.
Police say she dragged him before driving into a parking lot and fleeing with a passenger.
The Volkswagen’s owner was in the vehicle when the accident took place and they stayed at the scene. They identified the driver to the police.
Other passengers said that Duval claimed she couldn’t stay because she had outstanding warrants, according to accident reports.
Failure to stop and render aid carries a fine of up to $10,000 and/or a prison of between two and ten years if the accident resulted in serious injuries.
The authorities didn’t say why it took so long to make an arrest. The injuries the motorcyclist suffered have not been made public and his current condition is not known.
It is also not known whether the motorcyclist will seek representation from a car accident lawyer in an effort to get compensation.
