A woman who crashed her vehicle in Hollister, California, during a police chase would need a top accident lawyer to prepare her defense. Natalie Gartman, 22, on Sunday, April 12th, ended up wrecking her car with her 3-year-old son inside.
The Hollister Police Department said that the events that led to the near-fatal crash began with an argument with a family member. Gartman, in a fit of rage, brandished a knife on the unnamed relative before taking her son and storming off.

The police received a call about the incident, and by the time they arrived, the woman had already entered her car with the boy. Sgt. Don Pershall said that a police cruiser blocked Gartman from leaving, but she drove around it and got away at top speed.
The officers went after her in an attempt to get the young woman to pull over. When Gartman got to Valley View Road, she crashed into a parked truck, and the impact left the vehicles wrecked. The police found her son, who was unrestrained in the front passenger seat, unconscious.
The female driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and the impact of the crash left her with several injuries. Her son also sustained an injury in one of his legs. The paramedics took the mother and son to the hospital before handing the child to his grandmother.
Police determined that Gartman was driving under the influence and arrested her after she received treatment for her wounds. The police will refer to the District Attorney the charges of brandishing a knife, DUI, evading police, and felony child endangerment.
Those involved in this kind of accident should contact a top accident lawyer for legal advice and representation.
