A man in College Station, Texas, would need a drunk driving attorney after getting arrested for driving while intoxicated. Akiva Jenkins, 26, was taken into custody by officers from the College Station Police Department on Sunday, April 12th.
The CSPD said in a press briefing that they received a call on Sunday evening about a significant accident at the intersection of Raymond Stotzer Pkwy and Harvey Mitchell Pkwy. The caller said that the driver, who turned out to be Jenkins had veered off the road and struck a light pole.

Another caller said that the driver was attempting to leave the scene of the crash, and throwing beer cans out of the vehicle. The police also received tips from the Brazos County Sheriff”s Office of several hit-and-run crashes involving a driver matching Jenkins’ description.
When the officers arrived at the intersection, they found the man’s vehicle wrecked at the front and several empty cans of the beer. The young man then tried to walk away from the scene, fighting with the police and denting the back of a patrol car when he kicked it.
The officers removed Jenkins from the patrol vehicle and hobbled his legs using straps. They booked the man into the Brazos County Detention, with his bond set at $6, 000. The police have not released the charges against the man and will provide updates as things unfold.
Those involved in this kind of accident should contact a drunk driving attorney for advice and legal representation.
