The driver for reasons the police have not uncovered collided with a Honda Pilot heading north. A 28-year-old woman, Courtney Ogg, drove the latter, and she sustained minor injuries.
The Ford overturned from the impact of the crash and rolled onto its top. It took the combined efforts of first responders to get Kaschney and the driver out of the wrecked car. The two sustained severe injuries, and the medics took them to the hospital for treatment.
The police believe that one of the drivers ran a red light, and are investigating to uncover which one. The CCSO is heading the investigation and will provide updates as things unfold.
Under Washington law, running a red light is a traffic offense punishable with a fine. However, when a crash occurs, and there are injuries, the charges turn criminal, and the person who disobeyed the traffic rule would be held liable.
The person who causes an accident should hire a car injury attorney for legal advice and representation.
