Accidents occur for different reasons, and traffic collisions often result in the death of the person or those involved. When it comes to single-vehicle crashes, the leading cause is impaired driving brought on by drugs or alcohol.
An impaired driver has his senses distorted, causing him or her to go beyond the speed limit, and too fast for road conditions. The next is distracted driving; a driver’s focus is divided when he or she texts, calls, or engages in a heated conversation while behind the wheel.
Accident reports also show that mechanical failure causes single-vehicle crashes, as well as losing control and veering off the road. Adverse weather conditions like rain, snow, and fog, contribute, and others are drowsy driving, animal sighting, flying objects, and inexperienced drivers.
