Authorities identified a 61-year-old man, George Rowlands, of Simi Valley, as the victim of a traffic collision on Petit Street, Camarillo, California. The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed the man’s identity on Friday, May 22.
The fatal accident occurred on Wednesday, May 20, at about 12″42 PM east of Dawson Drive. Rowlands was riding his motorcycle on Petit Street when he collided with a 2-door coupe. The reason for the collision is unknown.

The impact of the crash caused the victim’s ejection from his bike. He sustained multiple blunt force injuries as a result. Officials from the fire department arrived at the scene of the accident and pronounced Rowlands dead.
Officials identified the driver of the coupe as a 73-year-old man from Porter Ranch. They, however, didn’t give any details about him sustaining injuries due to the wreck, or if he stopped after it occurred.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing, with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office requesting that anyone with information should call at 805-388-5146.
