BURBANK, CA – A motorcycle rider was killed in Burbank on Saturday evening after he crashed into a medical transport van, local news reports.
The 30-year-old victim was travelling westbound on Alameda when he crashed into the van, which was in the midst of a U-turn. After the collision the victim was trapped under the van as it briefly continued before coming to a stop. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later passed away due to his injuries.

The van remained on the scene and the patient they were transporting was treated on the scene before being transferred to another vehicle.
Police do not suspect that either drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
