Witnesses revealed to the police the suspect attempted to fight some people outside the area. After that, he entered his vehicle and tried to run them over. The witnesses managed to get out of the way of Salinas’s car, but the victim, a 37-year-old woman, wasn’t so lucky.
She suffered a broken jaw as a result of the collision. Medics took her to a local hospital for treatment. The police reports didn’t indicate if the woman sustained any other injuries or her current condition.
Police officers were able to apprehend Salinas’s vehicle and take him into custody before he could flee the scene. The suspect now faces two charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one charge of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury. The details of his bail information were not available on Tuesday morning.
Salinas will need a car accident lawyer for representation in court and to help with his case, following the charges against him.
