The deceased veered into the east curb and continued going until he struck a signal pole. When the paramedics arrived at the scene, they found Rodriguez unresponsive and pronounced him dead at about 2:10 a.m.; he was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The authorities added that the man appeared to have been racing when he lost control of the Nissan. But there is currently no information about the alleged second driver or the vehicle he or she was driving. The investigation into the accident remains open.
Single-vehicle crashes are one of the common forms of motor vehicle accidents there is. The factors that lead to it ranges from drunk and reckless driving, over speeding, to distracted driving. Often, the only person affected is the driver of the vehicle or the driver and the passenger if there is one.
Reports of car accidents show that there is usually no lawsuit when a single person crashes. Legal action takes effect when the victim or his or her representative can prove that the accident was not a result of negligence. The latter would mean that the crash happened due to external factors like a manufacturer’s defect or improper road conditions.
