An accident report from Saturday, May 9th, in Massac County, Illinois, claimed the lives of two people. The authorities identified the victims as Frank Pritchett, 87, and James Anderson, 33.
The Illinois State Police revealed in their preliminary report that the crash occurred a little after 8 a.m. at the intersection of Old Joppa Road and Joppa Road. Pritchett, a resident of Metropolis, was turning east off OJR when for unknown reasons, his SUV struck a sedan head-on.

The impact of the collision left the older man and Anderson, a passenger in the SUV with fatal injuries. The medics pronounced the two dead at the scene. The driver of the sedan, identified as 31-year-old Christopher Anderson of Brookport, sustained extensive life-threatening wounds.
The medics used an air ambulance to transport the man to the hospital for treatment, and his condition is unknown at the time of this report. The ISP is still investigating the crash and will provide an update at a later date.
