A motor vehicle accident or a traffic collision involves a car crashing against a tree, pole, or other stationary object or animal, or colliding with a person, car, motorcycle, or bicycle. It can either be a single-vehicle crash, two-vehicle collision, or multiple vehicle collision.
Several factors that are human-made or external contribute to car crashes. They include driving over and beyond the legal speed limit, driving while impaired with .08 and above blood alcohol concentration, and distracted driving caused by eating, calling, or texting. Other factors are wrong-way driving, tailgating, and running red lights and stop signs.
Drivers can mitigate the above factors by putting safety first and ensuring they drive carefully and cautiously. Maintain the speed limit, obey traffic rules and regulations, and avoid driving when impaired.
