Motor vehicle accidents are preventable with safety tips and obedience to traffic rules and regulations. When driving, expect other people on the road to make mistakes, and be ready to act if a situation arises that might lead to an accident.
After refueling, check oil and fluid levels, look for noticeable leaks throughout the engine compartment, and if the car stalls on the road, move it to the slow lane. Remain inside, put on the hazard lights to let other drivers see the vehicle, and wait for the proper authorities to arrive.
When behind other vehicles, leave at least four seconds space, and ensure there is enough space for passing before overtaking. Drive without impairments, maintain the speed limit, and avoid distractions.
