A drunk driving attorney’s service would be useful to the man who caused a multiple-vehicle crash while impaired on Tuesday evening, September 29th. 31-year-old Mario Medrano of Norwalk traveled on Pacific Coast Highway near the Marina Pacifica neighborhood of Long Beach, California.
The Long Beach Police Department said the occurrence killed one person and injured about half a dozen others. They stated that before 5 p.m., the suspect drove a 2015 Nissan Altima with four passengers at top speed southbound on PCH.

At Loynes Avenue, Medrano swerved into oncoming traffic, striking a 1994 Nissan truck driven by a 62-year-old Long Beach resident. The man continued southbound on the highway hitting a 2010 Toyota Prius heading north.
The collision force pushed the Prius into PCH’s southbound lanes, where a 2008 Honda pilot struck it. The medics conveyed three out of the four passengers in Medrano’s car to a local hospital to treat non-life-threatening injuries.
The fourth person died at the scene, despite life-saving measures performed by the paramedics. The police identified the victim as a 30-year-old male Los Angeles resident and will release his name after notifying his family.
Two people in the Prius and one person in the Honda suffered non-life-threatening injuries and received treatment in a hospital. The drivers involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police, after which they released them.
The LBPD arrested Medrano on suspicion of driving under the influence and murder and remanded him on a $2 million bail bond. Anyone with information on the incident should contact Detective Kelsey Meyers, and those who want to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers.
