The car, according to the Coryell County Justice of the Peace, Coy Latham, flipped over several times. By the time first responders arrived, there was nothing they could do for Upchurch. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and the medics took her body to the medical examiner for an autopsy.
The deceased was alone in her car at the time of the crash, and no other vehicle seems to be involved. Latham said that Upchurch was going to Temple for shopping when tragedy struck.
The authorities did not reveal more information. They are still investigating the crash and have asked witnesses to come forward.
The causes of accidents are not far-fetched, with drivers getting distracted while behind the wheel or impaired. However, accident reports and studies have shown that some accidents are caused by an underlying medical condition or medical emergency.
Thus, authorities have asked drivers to take extra precautions when on the road. Drivers should not take medications that make them tired, and they should only drive when mentally and physically fit.
