A car accident lawyer might be needed to sort out legal issues after a mail truck crashed into a Spring Valley, California, liquor shop. The store owner, Layth Zihai, survived the crash, which occurred on Tuesday, April 7th, with injuries.
According to the authorities, the truck involved in the accident was driven by a 50-year-old postal worker. The driver, minutes before the report of the crash came in at 11:10 a.m., suffered a medical issue while driving east on Jamacha Boulevard.

The unnamed driver suddenly veered north across traffic lanes, jumped a curb, and ended up hitting a Jeep parked outside Zihai’s Espana Liquor store before crashing inside. The truck was stuck into the front of the building close to the front counter.
The store owner said that the vehicle missed her and a customer by about 2 inches, but the latter had a moderate wound on the leg. The Jeep owner — a male — was sitting in the car when it got hit, but he didn’t sustain any injury.
The San Miguel Fire and Rescue Battalion responded to a 911 call about the accident. The Chief, Justin Fuller, said that it took about ten minutes for the firemen to free the male driver from the wreckage of the truck. They took him to the hospital where he later died.
So far, there is no mention of a legal issue, but Zihai reserves the right to hire a car accident lawyer if she wishes to sue. If that happens, she is entitled under California law to receive compensation for the damage to her store either from the estate of the deceased or the postal service.
