An accident suspect responsible for a Lafayette, California, crash would have to secure the services of a drunk driving attorney. Konstantin Vodyanoy, 22, started the chain of events that led to a multiple collision on Monday, April 6th.
The accident occurred at about 9:06 p.m. on Highway 24 near the Acalanes Road Exit. The California Highway Patrol said that Vodyanoy was traveling in a Lexus sedan westbound at top speed. The uncontrolled rate led the man to crash into a Safeway big rig.

Vodyanoy and three male passengers in the vehicle sustained severe injuries, and the medics took them to the hospital for treatment. The authorities suspected that the young man was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The CHP took Vodyanoy into custody, but there is no information on his bond or the charges he is facing. The unnamed driver of the big rig didn’t get hurt in the accident, and the accident is still under investigation.
Drunk driving is one of the leading causes of accidents in California and the United States. A drunk driver is considered impaired, and about 30 people in the United States die from an accident caused by intoxicated drivers.
Studies have shown that alcohol reduces the function of the brain and leads to impaired thinking, reasoning, and muscle coordination. As the alcohol level rises in a person’s system, it impacts the central nervous system negatively.
It then passes into the bloodstream and accumulates until it becomes metabolized by the liver. Those involved in a DUI accident should contact a drunk driving attorney to talk about the legal options available to them.
